Getting started

One Supervisor sets up first. Install Driving Log, add the people in your family (the Driver and each supervising adult), and pick who is using this phone. Supervisors approve drives and sign off skills; Drivers log and rate their own drives.

Then share it. On that phone, open Settings → Sharing → Sync to iCloud, then Invite family. Everyone else installs the app, opens the invite on their iPhone (or taps Join a family log at setup and pastes the link), and picks who they are. Don't set up a separate log on the other phones first — joining replaces that phone's drives with the shared log.

Sharing needs each person signed in to iCloud with an Apple ID. Without sharing, the app works as a log on a single phone.

Common questions

Does the log count toward the Oregon requirement? The app helps you keep records. When the Driver applies for a provisional license, the parent or guardian certifies the supervised hours to the Oregon DMV — the exported PDF is your backup.

Where is my data? On your phones and in your own iCloud. We never see it. See the privacy policy.

Can I edit the skills? Yes: Settings → Skills.
